The Green Screening Workshop reloaded

During the last two weeks, I collaborated with a team of art practitioners and researchers (Split Britches & Queen Mary University of London) that travelled to Stockport and Liverpool to continue the Green Screening research.

Thanks to the Stroke Association (UK), we were able to deliver the Green Screening workshop to two amazing Stroke Support Groups. By implementing participatory performance methods and interactive technology, participants enacted their most desired fantasies.

Both groups seemed happy with the results and were enthusiastic about experiencing this with their peers. For us, the challenge was to travel each day back and forth from London while carrying the equipment. However, the satisfaction of meeting new stroke survivors and seeing them enjoying our workshop makes it all worth it each time.

There is still a lot of work to do and we are confident that soon we will be able to show the results of our work. We will keep you posted on our progress.

For now, here are some examples of the interactive environment the participants were able to experiment!

‘Dancing like Beyonce’
‘Warming up and catching the bubbles with a friend’
‘Swimming with dolphins’
